About Us

Flying Swine Craft Snacks is a Veteran owned business based out of Toms River, NJ. The name Flying Swine pays homage to the owner’s time in the 82nd Airborne Division and his love of skydiving. John is an 82nd Airborne Division Veteran with two tours in Afghanistan and one Tour in Iraq. After leaving the military he transitioned from job to job and then when he started working at Backward Flag Brewing is where he was introduced to the Arms2Artisians program. John currently works as a DOD contractor for the Air Force. 

At the end of 2021, John decided it was time to take a leap and try something new. His original recipe for the candied bacon was passed on to him from a friend and fellow Veteran who he met after he moved to NJ. He took that recipe, made some minor adjustments, and it became his own. He then shared it with friends and family for years and now decided it was time to start sharing it with all of you.
